The Greater Cleveland Wrestling Coaches and Officials Association (GCWCOA) has been in existence since 1947. The mission of the Association has always been to organize and promote the sport of Amateur Wrestling. The GCWCOA provides the opportunity for Coaches and Officials to meet and discuss improvements in our sport.

2010 Al Carroll Scholarship Recipients
The following students have been chosen to receive funding for college on behalf of the Al Carroll Scholarship:
Louden Gordon (Wadsworth HS) to attend Notre Dame College - Education Major
Zach Noernberg (Cuyahoga Heights HS) to attend Notre Dame College - Education Major
Ken Trusnik, Jr. (Chanel HS) to attend John Carroll University - Biology / Pre-Med Major
Brandon Sommers (CVCA) to attend Cleveland State University - Physical Therapy Major

Coaches Procedure for Reporting Wrestler Records to Plain Dealer
Coaches are asked to send their wrestler's records electronically to Larry Hoon for reporting to the Plain Dealer. Larry has volunteered to compile all this information and submit it in a nice easy format so that our student-athletes receive the recognition it deserves. ALL coaches are encouraged to participate. The Northern OhioWrestling Official Association has scholarship opportunites available for wrestlers. Please visit our scholarship page for a link to their application and many other GCWCOA scholarship opportunites.
Scholarship Funds. We provide numerous scholarship opportunities to students who plan on attending college. Two schlarship funds, Al Carroll Scholarship and the Don Ferris Scholarship, provide this for northeast Ohio Students. Follow the appropriate links to view more details on these scholarships.
