GCWCOA East vs West All Star Meet

The Greater Cleveland Area Wrestling East vs West All Star Meet has been a tradition in the Cleveland for many years. The meet, banquet, and festivities have grown over the years and has made this a proud and prestigous event. Numerous college coaches come to the All Star meet to look at prospective athletes. Cleveland State University has been gracious enough to allow the use of their facilities to accomodate this fine tradition in wrestling. It is important to note that ALL participants coaches MUST be a member of the GCWCOA for the wrestler to be eligible for this meet. Please make sure your coach and/or assistants are a member of the Association. Check out the 2006 ALL STAR MEET LINEUPS.

Coaches must return wrestler applications to the GCWCOA selected All Star Meet Coaching Staff (Pat Murphy of Berkshire for the East or Steve Vaughan of Normandy for hte West) or John Gramuglia (fax # 330-335-0189). Your coach can hand in the application at the State Meet. January 1, 2006

Wrestlers are notified if they have been selected to compete in the All Star match. Practice, Banquet and other details will be given to participant at that time. You can also visit the GCWCOA website for up to the minute details.

March 5 & 6, 2006
Parents and Guest of Wrestlers MUST inform the Association of the number of people that will be attending the banquet as guests of the Wrestler. There is a $35 fee for guests which goes towards the cost of the banquet. Please call our Secretary, Gary Sorace, at (330) 487-5798

CRITICAL BANQUET INFO

1) Make sure all of your guests at the All Star Banquet have called to reserve a seat. Reservation deadline is 7 pm on March 10 (the day of the All Star Meet)

2) The Banquet will be held March 14 at 6:00pm at the Holiday Inn Banquet Room in Independance ( I-77 Rockside Rd Exit)

2) All of your family and friends are encouraged to join you in this awards celebration. Please note that there is a $35 banquet fee for each guest to pay for the meal. Tables of 8 are sold for $280, so if you have a group, let us know! Call 330-487-5798 to reserve your spot. On the message, leave the ATTENDEES NAMES, SCHOOL AFFILIATION, and RETURN PHONE NUMBER.
